Associated TP8: Statistical and physical models for interactions in polygenic autoimmune diseases
The work shall investigate and implement new approaches for interpreting data from statistical genetics in the context of polygenic autoimmune diseases. This involves the integrative modeling of multiple disease phenotypes across many
individuals and their association with their genetic background. Such derived models needs to be supported by additional evidence, to be generated in silico, possibly adjunct to additional in vitro or in vivo data, to work towards minimal models for pathways contributing to the disease. This will employ tools for predicting protein interactions based on expression data and is expected to also further develop such resources by means of molecular dynamics and machine learning.
