MD TP29: Evaluation of anti type VII collagen antibodies for improvement of the antibody transfer model of EBA.
For further investigations of new treatments of EBA it is essential to develop good in vivo models . In the current antibody transfer model of EBA, rabbit anti type VII collagen antibodies are used to induce disease but also cause unspecific immune responses. We want to improve this model and, therefore, developed murine anti type VII collagen antibodies by merging antigen-specific antibody producing B cells with myeloma cells forming antibody producing hybridoma cells. These clones will be evaluated for their ability to induce EBA in mice.
